One white rabbit, one basket of strawberries, a meadow of daisies and a summer sky. The painting is soft and bright at the same time, and the red of the berries is repeated in the lettering.
A natural pick for a little girl’s birthday, a granddaughter, a goddaughter, or a grown friend who has never quite stopped loving bunnies. Any name goes in red script under the heading, and the open sky above the rabbit leaves room for a long one.
Two ready wishes: “Happy birthday! You are sweeter than every strawberry in that basket.” Or for a grown-up: “Happy birthday to the gentlest soul I know. Have a day as sweet as you are.”
